Mother of 4 can't pay rent...waiting on Florida unemployment benefits...

I reside in St. Petersburg, Florida. I'm the mother of four children, 12, 11, 8 and 4 years of age. I've search for a job for the past several months without any success. My unemployment recently ran out last week. I applied for emergency unemployment benefits. Of course when I applied online, I was given a message after applying that it would only take 7 days to process claim and 10 days to receive your first check...yeah right. Applied on Feb 5 2009 and called yesterday Feb 13 to check the status....they haven't even process my claim yet, in fact the customer service rep  couldn't pull my claim up on her pc because the processing department has not processed it yet. The customer service rep said that Florida's unemployment rate is very high and that the are very behind and filling people's claim...as if I was supposed to accept that. I explained to her that I have four children and rent and bills to pay....of course she didn't care. I need help. I need a job that I can support my family with...I need my unemployment check to pay my bills and rent do....we will soon be homeless. I was barely paying rent and bills before my unemployment ended.....now with this long break between benefits payments is going to put me way behind. By the time I get my check....well first of all the first check will be only for 1 week of benefits, which for me is about 150 dollars, beleive it or not....My rent is 610 if paid on the first of the month. After that it's a $10 fee the second day and $5 dollars per day thereafter. After the 5th of the month, rent is no longer 610 put goes up to 685 plus all the late fee.....The point is, my children and I are going to be in financial hole that I'm not going to be able to get out of, by the time my first unemployment check for $ 150 gets to me. If there is anyone out there who can help me for the month of March 2009 rent, I will be forever grateful, I would even be willing to work....as in legal work that is...I usually work in the customer service. I type 55 words per minute. So I will work for the money...that's not a problem. But at this point I'm desparate. PLEASE HELP!

in response to Gifts For One Gifts For All...   Gifts For one For All's, i read your message. most people that don't have money have no money to invest. i am very poor with a 100,000.00 debt. so i had 200 flyers made for only 9.00 costs. i went door to door and landed two jobs. it's great. they pay 35.00-85.00 an hour here where i live. There's ways to start your own bussiness just by buying items out of china they offer free shipping. all you have to do is just have your own name of your bussiness and sell your items and profit 90%. alot of people here do it and make thousands each month. also they offer free gift cards to the orders so that helps everyone to get started. plus you run the bussiness, so no one pays for start up fees or monthy fees. besides you profit 90%. you might want to try this easy way and really own your own bussiness. i hope i helped both of you. i really try to help everyone like myself that needs help. i am also going to try it! good day and keep us posted!! sandra35

you fail at trolling.

She obviously was in a shithole system when she had a job. Unemployment tends to mess people up regardless of their previous lifestyle. Your assumption that she apparently lived in a shithole condition reveals that you know nothing about the world and would rather blame hard working inviduals for their problems then the type of business decisions employers make that lead us to recessiosn such as this one.

Grow up.

You made the same mistake (unprotected sex) four times while living in a shithole condition. What were you thinking? Nothing obviously.

in response to Gifts For One Gifts For All...   I'm a newly divorced mother of 2 who is looking for some extra income (my ex left the country with his mistress and havent heard from him in 4 months). I have been answering posts on Craigslist for house work and babysitting, but lately have been creeped out by the people on Craigslist. I started using Workstir.com cuz it lets me see who I am doing business with. Most of the users are tied to their Facebook profile, which is nice, cuz most people on Facebook use their real name and contact info.

Hi Paula,

I saw your post requesting help to raise money and I wanted to introduce myself and offer my services.  I own an online gift store with 2,500+ gift items and I also pay 10% commission on the purchase price for internet-based referral purchases.  You could set up a personal fundraiser with yourself as the beneficiary and ask for donations as you have done, but compliment it with offering gift items where you'll receive 10% commission on the purchase price.  The way you earn money is through a referral link that you post in emails, blog and forum posts, and post on social networks like Myspace or Facebook.  When a purchase is made by someone you’ve directed to my online gift store, your account will be credited for 10% of the purchase price.  You can track your progress on the site as well.  With Mother’s Day and Father’s Day around the corner, this could be a good opportunity.  This way you can give people a choice of how to help you.  For those that plan to get a gift for family members or friends, they can do so and help you as well.  I also offer a FREE gift card for purchases over $25 which could be used for future purchases to help you as well when redeemed when they use your referral link.  Additionally, if people are not open to making a donation because they think your situation may be a hoax, they might be more open to making a purchase for something they need.  For more information, go to my online gift store at http://www.giftsforonegiftsforall.com/ and click on Affiliate Program under the Online Services Menu and then "About Us".  I wish you all the best.Sim Young, OwnerGifts For One Gifts For Allwww.giftsforonegiftsforall.com
